FAU Alum Making Waves on Pro Tour

Former Florida Atlantic star Cristian Paiz, brother of present player Mauricio Paiz has been making his presence known on the pro tour. Paiz, who played for FAU from 2001-2004 has broken the top 1000 and now sits at 986 in the ATP computer rankings.

Paiz reached the semifinals of future in Mexico in August and last month reached two quarterfinals in El Salvador and Guatemala. In the Guatemala event Paiz knocked off Sam Warburg. Warburg played #1 for Stanford where he was an All-American and is ranked 399 in the world.

Paiz, the Atlantic Sun Rookie of the Year in 2001 is also 10-0 in Davis Cup play representing his home country of Guatemala.
