BOCA RATON, FL - This Wednesday afternoon Florida Atlantic University football held a full practice. The team continues to work with it scout teams to prepare for Saturday's match-up with Middle Tennessee State (5-3, 4-0).
"We expect a very good and experienced Blue Raiders football team," said Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger.
Practice began with kick-off coverage plays. Later on, the team broke into unit drills and worked on various skills such as block reactions and agility tackling.
In one-on-one wide receiver drills, Wilfred Rivera made an over-the-shoulder grab on a 30-yard pass. Sean Clayton hit Frantz Simeon on a slant route for a 15-yard completion.
In team 11-on 11's, Willie Floyd took a 40-yard hand-off into the end zone. Both Rickey Bethel and Corey Small blocked field goal attempts toward the end of the session.
FAU is back on the practice field Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
