Arriaga Named A-Sun Player-of-the-Week

Junior shortstop Danielle Arriaga was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player-of-the-Week by the league office on Monday. Arriaga, a Miami native who transferred from Tennessee, is the first FAU player to receive the award this season. She was honored for her 4-for-5, two RBI performance in Sunday's sweep of Jacksonville.
Arriaga is currently tied for 12th in the A-Sun in both home runs (six) and RBI (31) and is a legitimate candidate for All-Conference consideration this season.
Arriaga and the rest of her Owls teammates will close out their regular season on Wednesday when Florida International visit for a single contest at 6 p.m. Tickets are only $5 for adults and $3 for youths and seniors and are available at the gate or by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
