Swimming Set to Compete at NIC Championships

Florida Atlantic University's swim team will compete at the National Independent Conference Championships at Oakland University on February 26 through March 1, 2003. The meet will feature seven men's teams and five women's teams.

The meet is scheduled to start on Wednesday at 6:30 pm central time. Preliminaries will be held at 11 a.m. and finals at 6:30 pm on the remaining days. Real-time results can be viewed by linking to the following web address: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/gregorypalmer/NIC/index.html.

FAU looks to improve on its third and fifth place finishes from 2002. The women hope to defend their titles in the 400-yard medley relay and the 1650-yard freestyle, which Andrea Van Der Plaats won last year.
