BOCA RATON, FL -- Fresh off of its first victory of the season, Florida Atlantic University will look to even its record when it hosts Barry University Saturday at FAU Gymnasium. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.
FAU is coming off a thrilling 89-87 victory over Florida International on Monday night. Mike Bell led all scorers with 27 points while Jeff Cowans had 18. Kahleaf Watson added 15, including the game winner with nine seconds left.
Bell leads the Owls with 24.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He is also leading the team, shooting 10-for-21 from beyond the arc for 48 percent.
Barry enters the game with a 3-1 record. The Buccaneers are coming off a 60-55 loss against Valdosta State on November 29. Their wins have come against Florida Memorial, Puerto Rico-Cayey, and Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Clifford Smith leads the team with 15.3ppg.
It's the 11th meeting between the two teams and first since February 8, 1993. FAU is 3-1 against Barry at FAU Gymnasium.
The game will be FAU's last until it takes on Gardner-Webb December 15 on the road.
