Men's Tennis Receives A-Sun Honors

BOCA RATON, FL - Three members of the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis earned post-season honors from the Atlantic Sun Conference, announced the conference office Thursday. Doug Devriendt and Martin Jirak both received First-Team All-Conference honors for the second straight year while F.J. Schofield was named to the A-Sun All-Freshman team.

Devriendt, a senior, finished the season 16-7 overall with a 12-6 record in dual match play. Devriendt has been the mainstay at the no. 1 position the past two years, going 10-6 this season and 16-3 last year. Jirak, also a senior, went 14-3 this year with a 10-1 record in dual match play. Meanwhile, Schofield posted a 14-3 mark in his first year with the Owls.

Florida Atlantic finished the season with a record of 17-5 and has been nationally ranked in each poll this year.
