BOCA RATON, FL- - Florida Atlantic University's dramatic overtime defeat of Big East power Miami in men's basketball will be replayed on BRET TV 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 11. Also on Wednesday the head coaches from football, women's soccer, and volleyball will partake in the Boca Raton Christmas Parade.
The Boca Raton Educational television station BRET TV will show FAU's win over UM in its entirety. Directly following the game will be this week's Howard Schnellenberger Show.
The victory over Miami marks the first time FAU has beaten its instate rivals in 16 contests. Excluding last season's Atlantic Sun championship victory, head Coach Sidney Green labeled the victory as the biggest win for the program since he took over as head coach in 1999-2000.
In other FAU news, three coaches will participate in the Boca Raton Christmas Parade. Head football coach Howard Schnellenberger, women's head soccer coach Brian Dooley, and head volleyball coach Jody Brown will all take part in the festivities. The parade begins at 7:00 Wednesday evening and runs north on Federal Highway starting at Camino Real and finishing at Mizner Park.
