Men's Basketball Schedule Announced

BOCA RATON, FL -
The Florida Atlantic University 2001-02 men's basketball schedule The team will open its season November 17 at Hofstra before returning to Boca Raton for it's home opener November 20 against St. Mary's (MD). Other non-conference contests include road contests at Miami (FL), Liberty, and Birmingham-Southern as well as home games against Virginia Commonwealth and Drake.
With the addition of Belmont into the A-Sun (formerly Trans America Athletic Conference), FAU will play two additional conference games. The Owls begin A-Sun play November 29 at home against Stetson followed by a December 1 match-up with Central Florida. The Owls will also travel to Samford and Jacksonville State before Christmas.
"I feel this is a very balanced schedule for our young and upcoming team," said head coach Sidney Green, who enters his third season at the helm of the Owls.
In all, FAU's opponents represent the Big East and Missouri Valley Conferences along with the Colonial Athletic Association.
