Men's Tennis to Face Texas in NCAA Tournament

BOCA RATON, FL -

Florida Atlantic University will face the University of Texas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as pairings were announced Thursday afternoon. FAU is in a regional hosted by Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Marist College rounds out the four-team field. The Owls will take on the Longhorns May 12 at 1:00pm CDT.

FAU is ranked 50th in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while Texas is 22nd. Host LSU is 14th while Marist, the champion of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, is unranked.

This is the second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Owls. They received an at-large bid last year while securing an automatic bid this year. FAU completed its best season ever with a 21-4 record. They have won 15 of their last 16 matches.

The other regional matchup pits host LSU against Marist at 10:00am CDT. The regional concludes May 13 with a match at Noon CDT.
