Men's Golf Begins Play at Rio Pinar Intercollegiate

ORLANDO, FL -

Florida Atlantic University posted a 298 in the first round of the Rio Pinar Intercollegiate to tie for 14th. Matt Anderson led the Owls with a one-over par 73. Scott Kennedy and Paul Rifenberg fired a 74 and 75, respectively. The three-round competition is being played on the 6,978-yard Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, FL.

The tightly-packed field has the Owls just four strokes out of 11th-place and eight strokes out of fifth. The tournament continues Tuesday.
