Upcoming Event: Women's Soccer versus North Dakota State on September 14, 2025 at 6 p.m.

Eric Zeaman joined the SACAE academic staff as Academic Counselor to Football in August 2012 and since that time his has worked with various sports and academic colleagues in various roles that help FAU student-athletes matriculate through college.
Zeaman provided professional advising services to the football team until June 2017, when he was promoted to director of advising services/assistant director of SACAE. In April of 2022, he was elevated to sr. associate director of SASC. In that position, Zeaman brings the knowledge of a program he has served 10 years and the experience of working with football, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis as well as baseball. In September of 2023, Zeaman was elevated to an assistant athletics director.
Zeaman has a background in advising assistance to ensure accuracy with progress toward degree requirements, transfer, and initial eligibility. He also assists with the accuracy of APR and GSR information submissions and has monitored study hall activities as well as advising support to enhance it with the implementation of objective-based initiatives and laptop loan programs. In addition, Zeaman served as the coordinator of the degree completion program, including assisting in student identification, ensuring communication with all relevant parties, and ensuring student-athletes meet their contract obligations. He further serves as coordinator of the athletic relationship program, which assists campus affiliates and other college advisors with NCAA education and, in return, educates athletics with new major requirements and new opportunities for student athletes, which may include new course creation, internships, and/or scholarship opportunity.
Zeaman received his second Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education, with an emphasis on Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He also holds an MFA degree in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies from the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to coming to FAU, Zeaman worked at the University of Oklahoma as a study skills supervisor and academic assistant for football, wrestling, softball, and women's soccer. In addition, Zeaman taught film production as an adjunct professor for the Film and Video Studies Department, within the Arts and Science College at OU.
