Terri Lawson was named a marketing assistant in the fall of 2022 after earning her undergraduate degree from FAU in August.

Lawson gained her first work experience with FAU as an intern from April 2022 through the fall. It was an internship that she first began as an opportunity to gain course work experience; however, her hard-work and dedication to the position helped her gain practical experience as Lawson ushered the social media department through staff transitions thanks to her video and photo editing prowess. She also worked for K1 Speed.

Prior to FAU, Lawson worked with the Valdosta Media Services department from September 2019 through March 2020, at which time she returned home, due to COVID-19, and used that time to stay on track towards graduation. While at VSU, she helped to create weekly marketing content, in addition to helping manage staff scheduling and equipment to promote several team projects.

Lawson, a Miami Northwestern Senior High School alum and recipient of the Superintendent Diploma of Distinction, was a member of the Owl Cheer team while attending FAU. She earned her FAU Bachelor of Arts degree in multimedia studies in 2022 and was a consistent member of the athletic department’s 3.0 G.P.A. Club.
