Nika Najafova joined the Florida Atlantic University staff in the fall of 2023 as an assistant director of ticketing. Najafova came to the Owls with 10 years of professional experience, including four years as a large scale event ticketing manager.

Prior to FAU, Najafova served more than a year as a project onboarding manager for SecuTix, located in Boca Raton, Florida.

Najafova has been part of all major international sporting events in Baku, Azerbaijan since the opening of the 68,000-seat Baku Olympic Stadium, including the first F1 Grad Prix in Baku, the inaugural 2015 European Games and the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, which were held in 17 venues with a total capacity of 150,000 seats, tallying over 600,000 guests during the event.

Familiar with last-minute access to venues and catering to the customer, as eight of the European Games venues were completed days before competition and the Baku City Circuit is fully rebuilt each year in the center part of the city. She also served as the ticketing center coordinator for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship, consisting of four games, that were held under COVID-19 regulations.
