Shannon Smith joined Florida Atlantic University in November of 2018 as the assistant director of ticket operations.

Smith came to FAU from Georgia State University where he served as a graduate assistant in the ticket operations office between August of 2017 and November of 2018. While with the Panthers, Smith was responsible for customer service matters, ticket fulfillment, participated in the reconfiguration of the Turner Field into Georgia State Stadium, traveled with teams, managed the box office, developed a weekly report and assisted with the sales director on outbound phone campaigns.

From January of 2016 through August of 2018, Smith completed seasonal position with several teams, all within the ticket office or fan experience framework, for the Jacksonville Armada Soccer Club, Georgia Tech and the Atlanta Braves. The seasonal positions offered Smith an opportunity to gain experience with Ticketmaster Archtics and Host Systems, Paciolan and PAC7 as well as customer service.

Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in May of 2015 where he earned a degree in political science. Smith then obtained a master’s degree in management from the University of North Florida in August of 2017 and a master’s in sports administration from Georgia State University in December of 2018.
