BOCA RATON, Fla. – Senior catcher
Chloe Yeatts of the Florida Atlantic softball team was tabbed as a weekly honorable mention by the American Conference, announced by the league on Monday.
This marks Yeatts' first honor of the season and third in her two years as an Owl.
Yeatts reached base nine times in 11 plate appearances over the week and six out of seven times during the weekend series against Tulsa, where the Owls took two out of three games.
Her best game was Saturday, launching two home runs with a career-high five RBI in the 9-3 victory. She added two hits on the Friday night game and recorded two hit-by-pitches in Sunday's 5-1 win to secure the series. On the season, Yeatts is second on the team with seven home runs and 30 RBI.
Yeatts is the fourth different FAU player to earn a weekly conference honor this season, the most among any teams in the American.
