John Denton joined FAU Athletics in March 2022 as the Manager, Business Development for Learfield Florida Atlantic Sports Properties. In his current role, Denton works alongside General Manager of Learfield Florida Atlantic Sports Properties Kevin Crossman to create new, sustainable relationships with local businesses.

Denton was previously the Head of Corporate Partnerships for FlexWork Sports Management, based out of Miami, from August 2017 to December 2021. After joining FlexWork as a startup prior to his freshman year of college, Denton played a role in facilitating large scale youth events throughout the US with current NFL players including Tyreek Hill, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Kyle Pitts.

Denton interned with the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2016 where he assisted with day-to-day summer operations involving football marketing and advanced media departments.

Denton graduated from North Carolina State University in the spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in sport management. He is currently pursuing his Professional Masters of sport administration from Ohio University (remote) and expects to complete the program in the spring of 2024.
