Owls Kick Off Spring Season with Paradise Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's golf will kick off the spring season on Monday, hosting the Paradise Invitational sponsored by CIEE Golf is Global at Osprey Point Golf Club for the eighth consecutive year. This year's event will be contested over three days, with 18 holes per day.

The Lineup
The Owls will send out seven players in total, with five eligible for a counting score and two competing individually.

Sophomore Maddie Rathjen and junior Charlotte Perkins will lead the way in the No. 1 and 2 spots. Perkins had two Top 15 finishes in the fall after earning her first collegiate win last spring at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite in Georgia. Rathjen finished tied for 11th at last season's American Conference Championship. Freshman Tina Genoulaz will occupy the No. 3 spot. Genoulaz is coming off a fall season where she won in her debut in Miami.

The Owls' lone senior, graduate transfer Carolin Alblas, and sophomore Nancy Cox round out the starting five. Alblas was a three-time NAIA First Team All-American at Keiser University. Cox finished 14th, 3rd, and 5th in her three events in the fall. Giulia Scarcello and Amelia Cobb will compete as individuals.

The Course
The Falcon and Raven courses at Osprey Point will once again serve as host. It will play as a par 72 at 6,204 yards.
