Joined Florida Atlantic in August of 2023 as an assistant academic advisor
Serves as an instructor for a life skills class, teaching 60 first-year students coordinating the curriculum with campus partners
Academic mentor for football and men’s basketball teams, helping educated students with various levels of reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
Assists the Student-Athlete Development Director with communications and social media, as well as planning SAAC meetings and helping to plan and implement services for Summer Bridge program
Key contributor of the planning team for the annual student-athlete awards ceremony, coordinating highlight videos for student athletes while proposing two new awards categories to increase inclusivity
At University of Kansas
Joined the University of Kansas athletic department as a student athlete support services intern in August of 2022
Met weekly with freshman student-athletes for advising meetings and developed homework schedules for at-risk student-athletes
Helped guide freshmen through enrollment, teaching enrolling and pay processes, and creating spring semester schedules while handling any extra office work such as cataloging and organizing computer records
Involvement
Four-year member of the University of Kansas Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, was named a 2022-2023 Executive Member, Communications chair
In addition to SAAC, four-year scholarship athlete on the University of Kansas Women’s Track and Field team
Personal Education: Earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Kansas in Psychology in May of 2023, is currently furthering her education with a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology from Florida Atlantic with an expected graduation date of May 2025.
