Dr. Giscard Petion is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida and Nationally Certified Counselor. He joins FAU athletics after completing his doctorate degree in Counselor Education & Practice at Georgia State University.

Giscard completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida where he was a three-time all-conference high jumper for the men’s track & field team. He completed his master’s degree at the University of Central Florida in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Giscard is currently a member of the Association for Applied Sports Psychology and the American Counseling Association. His clinical interests include counseling athletes of color, multicultural development, athlete identity and mindfulness.
