Alex Collins came to FAU in January of 2019 as football’s Director of Player Personnel and just weeks away from the third signing class for Head Coach Lane Kiffin.
Prior to FAU, Collins held the same position at Nevada, a role he assumed in May of 2018 where he oversaw the Wolf Pack recruiting efforts. His efforts at Nevada helped to secure the Mountain West No. 2 ranked recruiting class.
Collins gained his collegiate experience at the University of Southern California where he was a member of the football staff or six seasons. His first three seasons with the Trojans the California native served as a student manager. Upon graduation, he worked as a graduate assistant and the following year he was elevated to recruiting analyst and his final year was an assistant director of player personnel. While at USC, Collins helped to coordinate summer camps, coaches’ clinics and recruiting efforts.
Collins obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance in 2014 and completed his master’s degree from USC in 2016.
