Chuck Lobe joined Florida Atlantic University as its head strength and conditioning coach in February of 2012. Lobe came to FAU from the University of Denver, where he was in his first season as its strength and conditioning coach. He spent the previous three years in the same position for the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning. A 2002 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Lobe began his coaching career at Minnesota before moving on to be the head strength and conditioning coach at Minnesota State University from 2004-2008. Current FAU head football coach Carl Pelini was the team's defensive coordinator and secondary coach, and Jeff Sims, FAU's recruiting coordinator and wide receivers' coach, was the co-offensive coordinator at Minnesota State in 2004. Lobe and his wife, Lynn, have two sons, Evan (6) and Hunter (2)
