Claudia Soto joined the Florida Atlantic University spirit staff as Head Cheer and Dance Coach in the summer of 2015, and transitioned to Spirit Coordinator in 2017. Most recently she moved into Spirit Coordinator/Head Dance Coach.
She is a 2006 graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She achieved her Doctorate degree in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2013 and is currently a practicing Florida Optometrist.
Prior dance experience includes the following:
1998-2001: Member of Atlantic High School Eagle-Ettes & Co.
Jan. 1999: Super Bowl Half-time Show
2001-2002: Captain Atlantic High School Eagle-Ettes & Co.
2004-2007: Member of FAU Dance Team
2004-2005: Second Place at NDA "Open" Competition- FAU Dance
2005-2007: Captain of the FAU Dance Team
2010- 2015: Assistant Coach FAU Dance Team
2015: FAU Head Cheer and Dance Coach
2017: FAU Spirit Coordinator / Head Dance Coach
