DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Florida Atlantic campus spirt has never been more united than in 2024-25. That collaborative show-stopping effort was on display at the 2025 NCA/NDA National Championships where the Owls competed in four categories and finished third in the "Game Day" division and in the top five in the remaining three disciplines.
The three-day event held annually in Daytona Beach brings together hundreds of college teams from across the country to compete for national titles in various divisions.
Florida Atlantic competed for the first time in the "Game Day" division, which showcases spirit and pep including a four-band drumline as well as Owlsley. The Owls, after a long hiatus from this category, finished third in the game Day Division 1A with an event score of 88.55, no deductions and just 3.5 points from the lead.
FAU also showcased in the Traditional Cheer Intermediate Small Co-ed Division 1A with a fifth-place finish. The dance team competed in two categories: Hip Hop Division 1A and Team Performance Division 1A. Florida Atlantic was the only squad to crack the top five in both categories, finishing fourth in each. They received no deductions for either performance and finished -2.15 points off the lead in Hip Hop and -2.5 off the lead in Team Performance.

"We are extremely ecstatic about the results at NCA/NDA College Nationals! Our student-athletes competed amongst some of the best cheer and dance teams in the country. With their hard work ethic and passion for their sport as well as trust of the process, they were able to excel. We cannot wait for what the future holds for the FAU Cheer and Dance Teams!"
