As a Junior (‘99): Started every game...hit .237 had 45 hits, seven doubles, three triples and three home runs...led the team in sacrifices 12, putouts with 553, and .995 fielding percentage...she may have had her best game against Florida A&M going 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI’s...has played in every game since she has been Owl.
As a sophomore('98): Played in every game batting .286 with 58 hits, seven doubles, six triples and 21 RBI's...led the team with 594 putouts and .978 fielding percentage...her best game was against Central Michigan going 3 for 4, with a home run and a double...
As a freshman('97): Played in 69 games...batted .253 and second on the team in doubles(9)...led the team with .987 field percentage and most putouts...selected to TAAC-All Tournament team.
High School: played for coach Tom McDonald at Lauralton Hall in Connecticut...three-time all-state, was two-time All-Conference and All-American... Is the school record holder in hits, RBI's, runs, batting average, extra base hits.
Personal: Communications major...daughter of Jody Urso and Anthony Catanese(deceased)...born January 2, 1978, in Seymour, CT...played for the well-known Raybestos Brakettes in 1998...her future goal is to become a sports information director.
