Keelan Power joined the Florida Atlantic University men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2021.
In just one year with the Owls, the team has achieved unprecedented success. The 2021 season saw the team achieve a 9-7-3 record and a trip to the Conference USA Championship title game. The spot in the title game came after previously defeating tournament host Charlotte in penalty kicks, 5-3, as well as upsetting the reigning NCAA College Cup Champions in Marshall, 3-1, in the semifinals.
Power coached five All-C-USA choices, including Second Team selection Alonso Coello Camarero, who signed with Toronto FC in the spring of 2022. Coello Camarero became just the second Owl ever to sign with an MLS team and first since 2006.
Power spent the prior few years as a youth soccer coach. He has coached at Force Soccer Club, Liberty Point Soccer Club and is currently a coach at Jupiter Soccer Club, where he has been a part of the staff for three years. At Jupiter Soccer Club, he coaches U9 boys and U13 and U16 girls.
As a former player, Power played collegiately at Century College and Methodist University. He finished out his collegiate career at Methodist, in which the defender started in 12 of 18 games played in 2018. Power and the backline were responsible for five shutouts that same season.
