2003: Played in every game including a mid-season stretch with a broken hand...vocal player who surprises opponents with his ability...named second team NCAA Division I-AA Independent All-Star and also earned a second team spot on the Don Hansen Weekly Gazette All-South Team...with his follow linemen was instrumental in the team's rise to no. 4 national ranking and a no.2 national ranking for passing efficiency.
2002: Entered the season as the number two center…an early season injury to Chris Munoz saw Guffey awarded with the opportunity to play…his tenacity and off-season conditioning paid dividends despite being undersized against every defensive lineman faced…played in nine games, missing two due to an injury…season’s accomplishments recognized at the season ending awards banquet where he was named Co-Non-Scholarship MVP…heavily involved with community service.
2001: Played in six of the team=s 10 games…lost close to 50 pounds during off-season workouts and 2002 spring drills under the premise that speed would help against larger linemen.
2000: Worked hard in the Spring to solidify a two-deep fall spot.
High School: Played for Bill Gierke at Dr. Phillips High School...earned All-District and All-County honors...three-sport athlete (football, wrestling and weightlifting).
Personal: Criminal Justice major...son of George and Darline Guffey...born October 19, 1981 in Orlando, FL...his professional goal is to become a youth pastor.
