- Began the year as the team's third catcher, but carved his way into the catching rotation, with nine C-USA starts
- Batted .290 on the year in 16 games, 10 starts, and was flawless behind the plate in 90 total chances
- Team was 8-2 when he drew the start behind the plate, and 5-0 when he hit ninth
- Threw out six of 11 runners attempting to steal against him, plus picked off another
- His first FAU hit was a pinch-hit two-run home run against Indiana State
