Summer League (2006): Played for the Dubois County Bombers in the Central Illinois Collegiate League...posted a 3.97 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 45 1/3 innings...made eight starts.
As a Junior (2006): Started the season in the bullpen before moving into the starting rotation on Mar. 5...first start came against no. 21 TCU when he threw 6 2/3 innings and struck out five...his one save came against no. 19 Tennessee on Feb. 5...struck out a season-high 11 batters in six innings against VCU on Apr. 9...longest outing was seven innings at Belmont on Apr. 23...lasted six or more innings in six of his team-leading 10 starts...drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 20th round.
JUCO: Played at Broward Community College for former FAU coach Bob Deutschman...two-time draft choice of the Chicago White Sox.
High School: Played for Joe Failla at McArthur High School...earned All-County, All-State honors along with being named the team MVP three times.
