YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The No. 1-seed Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team earned its spot in the Conference USA Championship winner's bracket quarterfinals with a decisive 3-0 sweep against the No. 8-seed Tarleton State Texans on Thursday at Sugar Beach.

Klaire VanDeusen and Mia Scanlon got things started for the Owls, earning a 21-13, 21-11 sweep on court three over Tarleton State's Camilla Chun and Emily Vickers. Olivia Strandberg and Ava Koehl extended FAU's lead to 2-0, earning a dominant straight-set sweep at the 2s, 21-8, 21-10. Denisse Morgenstern and Shantel Starling clinched the 3-0 sweep for the Owls, earning the dual-winning point with a 21-12, 21-15 sweep on court one.
