YOUNGSVILLE, La. - The No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will open postseason play on Thursday, April 23, set to compete in the Conference USA Championship on April 23-25 at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana.
The Sandy Owls finished the regular season at 18-14 overall and 2-0 in CUSA play. Florida Atlantic enters postseason play as the top seed in the CUSA Championship for the second consecutive season. As the No. 1 seed, the Owls will take on the play-in game winner, between No. 8 Tarleton State or No. 9 Sam Houston, in the opening round of the CUSA Championship on Thursday, April 23, at 3:30 p.m. ET.

No. 8 Tarleton State enters the CUSA Championship at 10-16 overall, and No. 9 Sam Houston heads into postseason play at 2-19 overall. Thursday would be the second all-time meeting between the Owls and Tarleton State, as Florida Atlantic earned a 5-0 sweep over the Texans last season on April 19, 2025, and would mark the first meeting between Florida Atlantic and Sam Houston.
With a Sandy Owl win on Thursday, Florida Atlantic will then prepare for a winner's bracket quarterfinal against either No. 4-seed South Florida or No. 5-seed Tulane on Friday, April 24 at 11 a.m. ET
