ATLANTA – The Florida Atlantic women's track & field team closed at the weekend in Georgia after competing in a two day meet hosted by Georgia Tech.
The Owls competed in a total of six events (100-meter, 1500-meter, 5000-meter, 400-meter hurdles, 400-meter, and 200-meter) on the weekend.
QUICK HITS
- Florida Atlantic started the meet with Richelle Williams representing the Owls in the 100-meter.
- Freshman Morgan Pennington competed in her first collegiate 1500-meter on Friday evening.
- Madison Brown etched her name in the record book with a top 10 finish in the 5000-meter. Brown finished with a time of 17:47.69 to put her No. 10 in program history.
- Both Jada Bolhuis and Adriana Lopez ran in the 200-meter to close out the meet.
UPCOMING
The Owls travel to Northern Florida to participate in the UNF Invitational on Friday, May 1 through Saturday, May 2 for the last regular season meet of the year.
