BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team will head into the American Conference Championship. As the No. 5 seed, the Owls will face in-state foe and the No. 12 seed South Florida at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 on the campus of Rice University in Houston, Texas.
The Owls hold an 8-8 record while the Bulls stand at 5-12. The two teams have met 16 previous times with the Owls winning 10, including a 4-2 victory back on March 1st of this year. FAU faced four American teams this season in non-conference play winning two. The two losses were by a 4-3 score.

Katrin Pavkova has built a team best 10-4 dual match record playing on courts #3, #4, and #5. Junior
Panna Bartha has handled the Owls top court since arriving at FAU in 2024 and this season is no different. Bartha enters the tournament with an 8-8 record while fellow junior
Malwina Rowinska is 6-6 playing courts #2 and #3.
Doubles play has been solid for the Owls with the freshman duo of
Malika Amirgaliyeva and
Alexia Patru surrendering just one match in six outings. Bartha and Pavkova have played court #1 all season and have used a 9-4 record to secure a No. 61 national rank.

With a win, the Owls will face the winner of the Thursday morning match featuring No. 4 Tulsa versus No. 13 East Carolina on Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m.
