OCALA, Fla – Select Owls from the Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming & diving teams finished the 2026 National Invitational Championships on Saturday inside the FAST Facility.
The three-day meet concluded the 2025-26 campaign for the majority of the FAU swim and dive team. The three-day meet concluded with freshman records, A-Final swims, and many best times. Wyatt Porch set a new freshman program record in the 100 IM.
QUICK HITS
Thursday
- The night began with the 200 free relay, where the team of Izzy Jones, Ludo Pavia, Talitha McEwan, and Maja Piotrowicz finished inside the top 10.
- In the 200 free relay, Noah Reeves, Jayden Repak, John Reese Taylor, and Leyton Roe finished eighth (1:20.44).
- In the 50 fly A-Final, Roe finished fifth, swimming 21.37. He also swam in the 50 free A-Final, placing ninth (20.34)
- Reeves swam in the B-Final finishing in 14th (20.26)
- Piotrowicz took 12th place in the 50 breast B-Final (28.58)
Friday
- James Shevchenko and Matthew Hand had strong swims in the 400 IM, swimming 3:56.07 and 4:00.76 respectively.
- In the 100 breast, Bilú Bianchi swam to fifth place in the A-Final (1:01.29).
- Repak finished 15th overall, swimming in the B-Final of the 100 breast (54.32).
Saturday
- Nula Gow competed in the 200 breast A-Final, placing fifth in a time of 2:12.97.
- Bianchi, closely behind, finished in tenth (2:15.02).
- McEwan finished 12th in the 1000 free (10:07.87).
- For the men, Akant Durur and Sabian Branch each finished inside the top 20 of the 1000 and 1650 free.
- The 400 relay team of Jones, McEwan, Bry Bellile, and Piotrowicz closed out the meet swimming 3:23.93.
- Andrew Billitto, Ryan Stahl, Hand, and Porch closed out the meet in the 400 free relay.
ON DECK
All eyes now point towards the 2026 NCAA Championships, scheduled from March 25 – 28, with senior Daniel Laureyssens swimming in the 50 free and 200 free.
