Owls Host UMBC for Final Non-Conference Weekend

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball hosts UMBC for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday's middle game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. first pitch. Sunday's finale gets underway at noon.

OWLS IN REVIEW

The Owls (11-6) are coming off a two-game midweek sweep of Presbyterian.
Florida Atlantic is averaging nine runs per game over the last five games.

Garrett Grant was named as an American Conference weekly honorable mention on Monday after tossing seven shutout innings in the series finale victory over FIU.
Grant leads the American Conference with a 0.96 ERA.
Kide Adetuyi will make his first Saturday start this weekend.
In his three Tuesday starts, Adetuyi has allowed seven earned runs in 14.1 innings.

THE OPPONENT

UMBC (6-6) earned wins over Mount St. Mary's and Delaware State on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Ehi Okojie leads the Golden Retrievers in hitting with three home runs and 12 RBI.

OPPONENT HISTORY

Florida Atlantic and UMBC have met once before. In 1992, the Golden Retrievers defeated the Owls 10-9 in Baltimore.
