Divers Complete Zone B Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – Five selected participants from the Florida Atlantic men's and women's diving teams completed their 2025-26 campaign at the Diving Zone B Championships on Wednesday.
All five Owls who qualified competed in multiple events. Overall, Trevor Kuhn was the Owls' highest finisher, earning himself a top 20 finish on the platform dive.

Women's 1m – Augusta Ness: 202.10
Women's 3m – Grace Powell: 246.80, Augusta Ness: 228.15
Men's 1m – Rocco Simonelli: 267.05, Trevor Kuhn: 251.60, Miles Buchart: 250.65
Men's 3m - Rocco Simonelli: 310.25, Trevor Kuhn: 245.70
Men's Platform - Trevor Kuhn: 280.20, Rocco Simonelli: 265.05
DIVING SUCCESS
Once again, the Owls diving teams produced strong performances throughout the season under Alik Sarkisian in his fourth season as the head diving coach. At the ASUN Conference Championships, Florida Atlantic diving earned five medals, two of them gold.
For the second consecutive season, an Owl was named ASUN Most Outstanding Diver, with Rocco Simonelli taking the honors this year after collecting three medals, including gold on the 3mtr diving at the ASUN Championships.
For the women, both Augusta Ness and Grace Powell qualified for two finals at the American Conference Championships. On the platform dive, Powell was FAU's highest finisher, placing 12th.
ON DECK
Postseason competitions continue with select Owls competing in the National Invitational Championships, held in Ocala, Florida from Thursday, March 12 – Saturday, March 14 at the FAST facility. Daniel Laureyssens will then represent FAU at the 2026 NCAA Men's Championships, scheduled for March 25 – 28, in the 50 & 200 free.
