TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team traveled to Tampa where the Owls fell in a neutral site match to fellow American Conference member Charlotte, in a non-conference contest, by a 4-3 score on Saturday afternoon. The Owls (3-6) will remain in Tampa for an 11 a.m. Sunday match versus weekend host USF.
THE BEGINNING
FAU secured the doubles point by winning the top two doubles courts. On court #1, the duo of

Katrin Pavkova were 6-4 winners. Court #2 was won by the freshman duo of
Malika Amirgaliyeva /
Alexia Patru.
THE END
With the Owls holding the 1-0 edge, the two teams squared off in singles. Rowinska, who saw her first action since February 14th, dominated court #2 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Charlotte slowly climbed into the match picking up wins on court #1, #3, #4 and #6, but saw the Owls' Patru win in three sets on court #5 for the 4-3 final.
