BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic softball team continues its road trip, heading to Conway, South Carolina for the Beach Chicken Brawl.
Over the next three days, the Owls (12-6) will face tournament host Coastal Carolina twice, as well as Binghampton two times and Saint Joseph's. Both games against Coastal will air on ESPN+, while the neutral site games can be followed via StatBroadcast.
This will mark the final regular season tournament for FAU with American Conference play beginning the following weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
The Owls fell to UCF in Orlando by a 9-5 score, with a late-game rally coming up short. Sophomore
Lily Holtje continued to lead the way at the plate with a two-run homer as well as a double.
ABOUT THE OWLS
- Head Coach Jordan Clark is in her fourth season at the helm of the program and owns a 133-54 record. Clark and her assistants received the American Conference Coaching Staff of the Year recognition in both 2024 and '25.
- Florida Atlantic was ranked No. 1 in the American Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Senior pitcher Autumn Courtney became the program's fifth All-American after winning the unanimous American Conference Pitcher of the Year. She opened the '26 season winning American Pitcher of the Week and currently leads the team with 35 strikeouts.
- Holtje has earned both an American Player of the Week and Honorable Mention.. She leads the Owls in hits (19), OPS (1.409), doubles (seven), RBI (17), walks (15), and on-base percentage (.576). She has reached base in 10 consecutive games.
- Redshirt junior outfielder Kylie Hammonds leads the team in runs (18) and is tied with redshirt senior shortstop McKenna Mulholland and Holtje in home runs (three).
- Senior third baseman Jesiana Mora has recorded a hit in 12 out of 13 games played.
- A trio of freshman pitchers in Makenna Lee, Ashlynn Durkin, and Madilyn Byrd have allowed just nine earned runs in 29.2 total innings. The three combined for a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts on Feb. 20 against Southern Indiana.

UP NEXT
The Owls will return to Joan Joyce Field at FAU Softball Stadium for a midweek game against Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday, March 4. American Conference play begins on Friday, March 6 with a three-game series at Charlotte.
