No. 14 Sandy Owls Open Road Slate at Seminole Beach Bash

BOCA RATON, Fla. – No. 14 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball opens its road slate this weekend, heading to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete in the Seminole Beach Bash, facing off against No. 16 North Florida, No. 6 Florida State, and UNC Wilmington.

The Sandy Owls had an outstanding opening weekend, finishing unbeaten at 4-0 during the Beach Burrow Bash, with a pair of 4-1 wins over Boise State and Palm Beach Atlantic, and two 3-2 wins against Coastal Carolina and FIU.
The Sandy Owls open play in Tallahassee on Friday at 11 a.m. vs. UNC Wilmington. Florida Atlantic is a perfect 5-0 all-time against the Seahawks, including a 5-0 sweep in the last meeting between the two programs on March 5, 2022. FAU will wrap up Friday's play at 3 p.m. against host No. 6 Florida State. The Sandy Owls will seek their first-ever win over the Seminoles as FSU leads the all-time series 20-0.
Florida Atlantic will then begin play on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. vs. No. 16 North Florida. The Sandy Owls lead the series between FAU and UNF, 10-8, however, the Ospreys took a 4-1 decision in the last meeting between the two squads on April 19, 2024, in DeLand. The Sandy Owls will then close out the weekend in the Seminole Beach Bash playoffs. Time and opponent will depend on play throughout the weekend.
