Owls in Contention After Day One at Paradise Invite

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's golf (+7) is in fourth place after 18 holes at the Paradise Invitational presented by CIEE Golf is Global. Kentucky leads the field at even par after an uncharacteristically cold, windy Monday in Boca Raton that began with temperatures in the 40s.

Nancy Cox and Tina Genoulaz each posted 73 (+1) on Monday to finish as the Owls' joint low scorers.
Cox went out in even par after two bogeys and two birdies on her opening nine holes. She made eight pars and one bogey on her inward nine.
Genoulaz went out in 38 before circling three birdies for a back nine 35.
Both players are four shots behind Tennessee's Madison Messimer and Karoline Tuttle at -3.
