BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis doubles duo of
Mark Havlicek and
Marek Pazdera have crashed into the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, at No. 82, as announced on the ITA website on Thursday.
Havlicek and Pazdera have been instrumental in the Owls' 3-2 start. A key to the team's success has been securing the doubles point, where the Czech Republic duo, who play on the Owls' top court, is 3-0 on the year.
In singles play, Havlicek holds a 4-1 record, where he is undefeated, 3-0, on court #1 and 1-1 on court #2. Pazdera is 3-2 in dual match play, playing seeing time on courts #3 (1-1), #5 (1-0) and #6 (1-1).
The Owls will be in action on Friday, Feb. 19 when they play host to FGCU at 1 p.m. at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center, located on FAU's Boca Raton Campus. Matches are open to the public.

The Owls will travel to Orlando where they are scheduled to face UCF on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 12 p.m. and will then travel to Tampa where they will play at a neutral site on Sunday, March 1 versus Pennsylvania at 10 a.m.
