BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic football's standout fifth-year RB Leonard Farrow, who has made an impact as a kick returner, has been named to the 2026 Jet Award Midseason Watch List.
The yearly award, established in 2011, honors college football's best return specialist. Farrow, currently in his first season in Division I after four years at Fairmont State, is one of 18 players on the award's midseason watch list and is currently No. 2 nationally with two kick return touchdowns and No. 13 in kick return yards (271).
Entering 2026, only one player in Florida Atlantic history had taken back a kick for a score, future NFL Owl Kerrith Whyte, who did it twice in 2017. On Oct. 3, Farrow matched that mark in a single quarter, a 66-10 victory over Texas Southern.
After taking back the game's opening kickoff 98 yards into the end zone, he turned his very next attempt into a 92-yard touchdown, all before the offense stepped onto the field.
With an additional punt return taken to the house earlier in the year, the Owls have set their single-season record for total return touchdowns with three. The team currently holds a 4-1 record, its best start since 2020, and will resume American Conference play on Oct. 17 at Army. Kickoff is at noon on CBS Sports Network.
