Owls Visit Tulsa Tuesday

TULSA, Okla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls women's basketball team is heading back on the road for a two-game road stretch, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Tulsa.

Tipoff was moved up to 5 p.m. ET from an originally scheduled 7:30 p.m. ET tip due to winter weather.

A LOOK AT THE OWLS

Florida Atlantic enters Tuesday's midweek matchup at 9-11 overall and 3-5 in American play.
The Owls are just coming off one of the best games of their season so far, earning a 64-63 win over the South Florida Bulls on Saturday.

Tulsa enters Tuesday's matchup at 13-6 overall and 5-2 in American play. The Golden Hurricane is coming off a split week, earning a win over North Texas and falling to Rice.
Offensively, the Golden Hurricane is led by Mady Cartwright and Hannah Riddick, averaging 15.5 and 14.3 points per game, respectively.
Riddick leads Tulsa on the glass, pulling down a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game, in addition to tying with Jade Clack for the team lead in blocks, recording 0.9 blocks per game.
Dora Toman is the Golden Hurricane's assists and steals leader, dishing out 2.9 assists per game and collecting 2.0 steals per game this season.

SERIES HISTORY

Tulsa holds a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series between the Owls and the Golden Hurricane. The Owls will look to snap a three-game skid against Tulsa. After a dominant third-quarter performance and tying a season-best 11 made 3-pointers, the Owls defeated South Florida, 64-63.
Moors and Carstensen led the Owls in the win.
Moors posted her first career 20-point game, finishing with a career-best 21 points, shooting 7-of-14 from the field, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, and going a perfect 3-of-3 at the line, while also adding four boards, two steals, and two assists in the career performance.
Carstensen finished with 18 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field, 5-of-8 from distance, and knocking down a free throw.
Haley Walker pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds, and Plata dished out a game-leading five assists in the win.
The Owls dominated from beyond the arc, outshooting the Bulls 11-3 from distance.
FAU also held an advantage in second-chance points, outscoring the Bulls 13-8.

UP NEXT

Following Tuesday's contest, the Owls will close out their two-game road trip as they head to Denton, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 31, to take on the North Texas Mean Green.
