The Ohio native Parker was named American Freshman of the Week for the third time this season after helping the Owls to another undefeated week in league play, putting them first in the conference standings. One week after being named American Player of the Week, Carlyle received recognition as an honorable mention.
Parker led Florida Atlantic this week with a total of 28 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, and a block, averaging 14.0 points per game and 9.0 boards per game. Both the rebounds and points were career-highs for Parker. The Owls trailed in the second half in Philadelphia, and he was the spark the Owls needed to come out with the victory, recording 19 points in 12 second-half minutes.
The Atlanta, Georgia, native Carlyle was recognized as one of the five weekly honorable mention members. He finished the week with 25 points, averaging 12.5 points per game, and dished out seven assists.
