- Wichita State enters Tuesday's midweek matchup at 3-14 overall and 0-4 in conference play. The Shockers are on a five-game losing streak, dropping contests against Middle Tennessee, Tulsa, Tulane, Temple, and East Carolina.
- The Shockers are led offensively by Jaila Harding and Abby Cater. Harding boasts a team-leading 12.9 points per game, while Cater has scored 10 points per game this season.
- Cater is also Wichita State's steals leader, collecting 2.2 steals per game.
- Taya Davis paces the Shockers in assists, dishing out a team-best 50 assists, averaging 2.9 per contest this season.

- Wichita State leads Florida Atlantic in the all-time series, 3-1. In Boca Raton, Wichita State won the sole contest between the Owls and the Shockers, taking a 67-56 contest on Feb. 10, 2024. The Owls won the first-ever meeting between the two teams, capturing a 63-56 road win on Jan. 27, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas.

- Florida Atlantic picked up its first conference win of the season on Saturday, earning a 70-63 win on the road over the UAB Blazers.
