Owls to Host Tulsa and Temple at Home to Close Out September

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic's women's soccer team will host back-to-back conference opponents, starting with Tulsa on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 28, the Owls will face Temple at 1 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium. Both games will be on ESPN+.

Thursday's matchup marks the third time that the Owls (3-7-1, 0-2-0) and the Golden Hurricane (6-3-2, 1-1-0) have met. Kickoff for the match is set for 7 p.m. On Sunday, FAU will host the last match of the month when they take on the Owls of Temple (3-8-0, 0-2-0) for the third time in program history. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for both matches to secure a player card, available while supplies last. All home games at the FAU Soccer Stadium are free admission.

ABOUT THE OWLS

Head Coach Patrick Baker enters his 13th season at the helm of the Owls. Baker is one of the top 40 winningest active Division I women's soccer head coaches.
The Owls enter their third season in the American Conference.
Defender Daniella Diaz, midfielder Morgan McDonald, and forward Michelle Horan were named the Owls' three players to watch by the American.
FAU has 12 newcomers on the roster in 2025.
Graduate student Sloane Young leads the team in goals with five.
Horan leads the Owls with five assists on the year to improve her career total to 12.
Hailey Santiago has three goals on the year and leads the Owls with 17 shots.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN HURRICANE

Jim Rhien is in his fifth season at the helm at Tulsa.
Last week, they faced Temple to win their first conference match of the season, 3-1.
Thursday's match marks their second away conference contest of the season.
Forward Jordan Frederick leads the Golden Hurricane with eight goals on the year.
In the assist category, Tulsa has two leaders with five each (Frederick and Ady Bechtel)
Goalkeeper Tatum Sanders has a total of 36 saves with a 4-3-2 record.

ABOUT THE TEMPLE OWLS

Head Coach Chris Shaw enters his second season at the helm for Temple.
The Owls shut out Lincoln (Pa.) for their last non-conference match of the season.
Prior to making the trip to Boca Raton, they will face Rice at home.
Redshirt senior Ariana Gronauer leads the Owls with three goals on the season.
In conference play, Temple has three goal scorers with one each (Eva Matesich, Madison Abi Aoun, and Shari Atkins)
The Owls have two goalkeepers with over 350 minutes on the year (Tamsin Bynoe and Claudia Vlau)

SERIES HISTORY

Tulsa leads the series 1-0-1. The last matchup was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the Owls fell 3-1.
In the series, both teams scored four goals combined.
Florida Atlantic leads the series 2-0 against Temple with a total of five goals.
Last matchup between these two teams was in Philadelphia, Pa., on Oct. 24, 2024, where the Owls recorded a 3-0 shutout.
