BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic football held its first weekly ESPN+ press conference for the 2025 season, with Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley joined by redshirt junior quarterback Caden Veltkamp and redshirt senior defensive back Terez Reid.
The trio previewed Saturday's season-opening matchup against Maryland, the Owls' third consecutive season playing a Big Ten opponent and second straight as a season opener. Kicking off at noon at University Park, Maryland, the game will air on the Big Ten Network app.
Kittley is set to make his head coaching debut, currently the youngest in Division I at the age of 34, while Veltkamp will make his first start as Florida Atlantic's quarterback. Reid will be a key piece in the revamped defensive backfield after joining the Owls in the summer of 2025.
