BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic swimming & diving teams' success outside the classroom continues to shine under the direction of Head Coach
Lara Preacco and staff.
For an eighth consecutive semester, both the women's and men's teams were named Scholar All-American by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the spring of 2025.
In addition, the Owls had four athletes receive individual honors for their accomplishments during the spring 2025 semesters.
Dolores Margni,
Daniel Laureyssens,
Isac Faxius, and
Trevor Kuhn were each named to CSCAA Second-Team Scholar All-America.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to be named to CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, a team must be a CSCAA member and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the semester of Spring 2025. In total, 763 teams from 432 institutions were selected by the CSCAA as a Scholar All-American member.
To qualify for Second-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

HONOREES
On the women's side, the team tallied a GPA of 3.61 with 30 student-athletes ending the semester with a GPA over 3.0.
Cica Carvalho,
Julia Earnshaw,
Talitha McEwan, and
Amelia Robertson were members of the President's List acknowledging a perfect 4.0 GPA
Marngi was named to second team honors after recording a time of 1:58.77 in the 200 fly, good for an NCAA 'B' cut. In the spring, Margni graduated with a 3.60 GPA in Data Science and Analytics.

For the men, 21 student-athletes earned a GPA over 3.0, including President's List members
Bennett Balogh and
Gianni Carlino.
Laureyssens received second team honors after recording two performances good for an NCAA 'B' cut. In the 200 free, he recorded a time of 1:34.61 while logging a time of 4:20.72 in the 500 free. In the spring, he recorded a 3.86 GPA as a Pre-Business; International Business major. Faxius and Kuhn qualified for second team honors after each participated in the 'Zone B' Diving Championships. Faxius, majoring in Pre-Architecture, recorded a 3.86 GPA in the spring 2025 semester, while Kuhn tallied a 3.92 GPA studying Exercise Science and Health Promotion.
