BOCA RATON, Fla.  – Florida Atlantic baseball begins a three-game series against Tulane on Friday night in New Orleans. The Owls (29-15) and the Green Wave (27-18) enter the weekend with identical 10-8 records in the American Athletic Conference. First pitches for games one and two, on Friday and Saturday, are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Sunday's finale will get underway at 1 p.m. ET.

The Owls clinched the season's four-game series against FIU with a 5-2 home victory on Tuesday night. Freshman
Nick Wimberly made his first career start and delivered three scoreless innings. The Owls used six relievers behind Wimberly, combining for eight strikeouts and one earned run allowed. Â

Tulane won two of three against East Carolina last weekend and then defeated Nicholls 9-4 in the midweek matchup on Tuesday. Junior infielder Connor Rasmussen leads the Green Wave with 34 RBI. Projected Friday night starter Luc Fladda pitched a seven-inning complete game last Friday against ECU.

The Owls and the Green Wave met for the first time in program history last season. After FAU won the series opener, Tulane took the next four, including two matchups in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Owls return to Boca Raton for the final homestand of the season. Florida Gulf Coast will visit Paradise on Tuesday, May 6. Senior weekend kicks off Friday, May 9, when USF comes to town to start a three-game series. The home schedule concludes with one more matchup against FGCU on May 13.
