No. 21 Owls Host South Florida

BOCA RATON, Fla.– The No. 21 Florida Atlantic softball team returns home after a four-game road trip for a series against South Florida from Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6, with the opening game's first pitch set for 6 p.m. All games are on ESPN+.

In a matchup between the top two teams in the American Athletic Conference, the Owls (32-6, 11-1) and the Bulls (29-10-1, 8-3-1) are on top of several league categories.

WEEKEND PROMOTION

Friday marks 'College Night' at FAU Softball Stadium, with current students who show their Owl Card receiving free entry. Fans can take advantage of exclusive deals for $1 hot dogs and $3 beers, available while supplies last.

A giveaway of "Paradise Blues" t-shirts will be handed out to students while supplies last. They can also be purchased at the stadium.

ABOUT THE OWLS

The Owls are led by Head Coach Jordan Clark in her third season at the helm of the program with a record of 108-42.
Among members of the AAC, FAU leads in batting average (.335), runs (248), hits (342), fielding percentage (.980), ERA (2.47), and strikeouts (209). They are second to USF in RBI (219), on-base percentage (.416), and putouts (741).
Nationwide, Florida Atlantic is ranked sixth in fielding percentage, 10th in doubles (65), 13th in hits, 23rd in runs, 27th in batting average, 28th in ERA and 28th in RBI.
Junior third baseman Jesiana Mora, the reigning AAC Player of the Week, leads the team in home runs with seven and has 11 RBI in the last four games.
Freshman outfielder Bella Foran is 17th nationwide in batting average (.472) and tied for 30th in hits (49).
Redshirt sophomore outfielder Kylie Hammonds has reached base in 34 out of 38 games this season.
Junior pitcher Autumn Courtney, coming off AAC Pitcher of the Week, is ranked 29th nationally in strikeouts (109) and is tied for third in victories with a 15-1 record.
Senior pitcher Ainsley Lambert leads the NCAA in saves with seven and has the lowest ERA in the AAC (1.57), ranked 24th nationally.
The Owls' 32 wins are tied for third most in the nation. 13 are via a comeback, also tied for third most.
Florida Atlantic is ranked No. 21 by D1Softball, No. 23 in the NFCA Coaches Poll, and No. 25 by Softball America.

ABOUT THE BULLS

Ken Eriksen has been USF's head coach for 28 seasons, with 1,146 victories and 16 NCAA Regional appearances to his name.
The Bulls lead the AAC in RBI (231), on-base percentage (.421), slugging percentage (.571), walks (140), hit by pitches (39), putouts (783), and saves (eight). They are second place to Florida Atlantic in batting average (.324), runs (246), hits (327), and ERA (2.71). The two teams are tied for the conference lead in doubles (65).
Sophomore Alex Wilkes leads the conference in RBI (40).
Redshirt junior pitcher Payton Dixon takes charge in the circle with a 14-4 record and 2.14 ERA with 82 strikeouts, all top three in the conference.
USF owns the all-time series over FAU 18-8, though the Owls took two of the three games in their previous meeting in 2024.
