BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 15 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team opens up April play this weekend, competing at the Florida State Unconquered Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday and Saturday, April 4-5.
Florida Atlantic enters the weekend at 12-8 overall, 2-1 in CUSA play. The Sandy Owls went 2-2 at the Stetson Beach Blast, earning a pair of sweeps against Palm Beach Atlantic and Erskine, but falling against No. 7 Florida State, 5-0, and No. 16 Stetson, 3-2.

The Sandy Owls open the weekend on Friday, taking on South Carolina at 11:30 a.m., before wrapping up the first day of play at 2 p.m. against No. 10 LSU. Florida Atlantic will look to earn its fifth wins against South Carolina and LSU in program history.
FAU kicks off day two facing familiar foes, beginning with No. 8 Texas at 11:30 a.m., before facing off against No. 5 Florida State at 2 p.m. The Sandy Owls will seek their first wins against Texas and Florida State in program history. The Sandy Owls will close out play in Tallahassee at 4:30 p.m. against South Florida. Saturday will mark the first meeting between the Sandy Owls and the Bulls.
Following the Florida State Unconquered Invitational, the Sandy Owls return to Paradise to host the Capri Classic for senior weekend on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12.
